Samantha McBride, PsyD, works with people across the lifespan and while she has extensive experience in treating concerns such as behavioral issues, adjustment and phase of life issues, and ADHD through individual, family and group therapy, she specializes in providing services to people with anxiety, depression, and trauma. She is an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Certified therapist, which is a treatment protocol for those who have experienced traumatic events.
Dr. McBride believes that there are many paths to wellbeing and therapy is a collaborative process between the clinician and person seeking services. She has a strong foundation in evidenced-based practices (such as cognitive behavioral therapy) which she weaves with creative modalities (such as yoga and animal-assisted therapy) based on individual preference. She is also a Registered Yoga Teacher. Prior to working at the Depression Center, Dr. McBride provided clinical services to youth and families in community mental health settings for over 7 years. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys cooking and spending time in the Colorado sunshine by gardening and hiking with her dogs.
