Regina Carlson, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and senior instructor at the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Depression Center. She provides psychotherapy for adults and couples. Her areas of interest include depression, anxiety, adjustment to life stressors, family of origin issues, and relationship issues. Dr. Carlson takes a collaborative approach in working with clients to relieve suffering, foster emotional well-being, and increase self-awareness, which leads to improved confidence, enhanced relationships, and the ability to more successfully navigate life challenges. Dr. Carlson has previously worked in university counseling settings, private practice, and outpatient clinics. Prior to becoming a psychologist, she worked as an RN in inpatient behavioral health services. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys hiking, spending time with family and friends, and watching movies.
