New Anxiety Program Resource

While the namesake of the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson Depression Center (JDC) has a particular emphasis on “depression”, anxiety disorders are currently the number one diagnosis of patients seen at the JDC.

Anxiety can be one of the most crippling experiences; however, with effective evidenced-based treatment, people can and do get better. And, these gains can last a lifetime.

The Anxiety Program at the Johnson Depression Center is managed by expert providers who are experienced and equipped with the best tools to help people overcome anxiety.

In our team-based approach, there are many ways our providers can tailor effective treatment for anxiety. This can include:

  • Telehealth: face-to-face therapy conducted online at a person’s home, if the home is where the anxiety is primarily present, or for convenience if the clinic is too far away for in-person therapy
  • Virtual reality: transport to any place, situation or environment in the world
  • Group therapy: learn the skills with others who experience anxiety, which helps them experience that they are not alone
  • Boot camps: intensive group workshops for people who do not have the time to commit to weekly therapy

Visit our new Anxiety Program page for more information.
